Our initiatives span a wide range of developmental sectors, including skill development, women’s empowerment, healthcare access, education, environmental sustainability, and community welfare. We run schools, hostels, training centres, mobile service units, and support programs that help individuals become self-sustained and confident contributors to society.

Driven by compassion and a deep commitment to social change, Shri Navjivan Viklang Sevashray continues to expand its outreach—ensuring that no one is left behind. With every project, we sow the seeds of hope, equality, and empowerment, building a more inclusive and humane world for all.

Dear Friends,

It gives me immense pride and deep gratitude to share the journey of Shri Navjivan Viklang Sevashray, a journey that began in 1991 with a simple dream — to serve the most needy, to uplift the forgotten, and to ensure that no child is denied dignity, care, or education.

Growing up in Kutch, I witnessed challenges that were difficult to ignore — girls who were denied schooling, children living in unsafe conditions, families struggling for basic opportunities, and divyangjans who had no support to navigate their lives. These realities moved me deeply and shaped the purpose of my life.

Our work began with girls’ education, travelling village to village to convince parents to send their daughters to school. When we realized that many had no access to proper facilities, we started a girls’ hostel in Bhachau, which soon became a home for more than 50 young girls. Over time, our hostels grew, and our schools began transforming the lives of thousands of children. Every milestone strengthened my belief that education and compassion together can change everything.

A turning point came when I witnessed a mentally challenged child lying helplessly on the ground in the salt pans near Halvad — a moment that shook my soul and forever changed the direction of my work. That child became the reason we established our Residential School for Intellectually Disabled Children in Halvad, where children today live with love, safety, care, and respect.

My belief has always been simple: “Service is not an act of charity; it is a responsibility, a way of life.”

Today, as I look back, I feel humbled by the trust of the people, the support of our donors, and the dedication of our team who work tirelessly to ensure that our mission continues with even greater strength. To everyone who has walked with us — thank you for believing in our vision. To those joining us today — welcome to our family of hope, service, and humanity.

Together, let us continue building a society where every individual — especially the most vulnerable — can live with dignity, opportunity, and happiness.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Jitendra Joshi
